SRC Solutions has extensive experience in providing practical advice and assistance in relation to correct workstation set up to prevent
common workplace injuries
Several types of workstation assessments are available, the information below can help you choose which assessment is most suitable to your situation:
Basic
For new and current employees without an injury or medical condition who want to ensure correct set up of their workstation.
Injury Prevention
For employees experiencing mild discomfort due to their work practices or muscle fatigue due to unsuitable equipment/furniture.
Comprehensive
For workers under regular medical treatment or returning post-surgery or injury. These assessments can also be provided as part of an initial needs assessment for an injured employee under the SRC Act or as part of workplace early intervention program.
Home Based
For employees who will be working from home on a regular basis. This type of assessment comprises two components:
- A WHS inspection of the designated work space to determine overall safety and suitability;
- An injury prevention or comprehensive assessment will then be carried out.
Task Analysis Assessment
A task analysis assessment can be requested as part of a Section 36 referral under the SRC Act, to provide additional clarification to a treating medical practitioner regarding the tasks undertaken by an injured worker. This analysis can allow for any appropriate workplace modifications or restrictions to be identified and implemented.
